Actress/writer/bellydancer Jezibell Anat began working in independent films in Augusta, Georgia, in 2012. Her roles include vampire matriarch Isabella in the horror film Blood River, saloon owner Lorena in the Western Vengeance Without Mercy, and Confederate nurse Miss Olivia in The War Riders. She and her husband Joseph Zuchowski wrote the screenplay for the horror musical Cabaret Diabolique, in which she also acted, wrote the lyrics, and choreographed the dances. She created the character of saloon owner and gunfighter One-Eyed Lily for Billy the Kid:Showdown in Lincoln County and Billy the Kid vs. Pat Garrett, which she also co-wrote. She also created the character of the swamp witch Mama Thorn for the Civil War film Boots and Saddles and portrayed Belle Starr in Jesse James vs. the Black Train. She wrote and directed her first short film Death and Taxes in 2016. In 2017 she wrote and directed Chapter 2 of the Wages of Cine horror anthology film Old Man of the Rooks, and also wrote and directed The Conductor, a historical short about Harriet Tubman, for the Wages of Cine’s Arte Factum Fan Fiction anthology. She also write and directed the horror short Miss Julie Don’t Like No Strangers, which first appeared onstage at Le Chat Noir theatre in Augusta, GA. In May 2018 she will be on the Women in Independent Horror panel at Days of the Dead in Charlotte.
