Jenna Larson is an ambitious writer/director/actor based in sunny Los Angeles. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in December 2017 with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Cinema Art + Science with a concentration in directing. Her short films and web series she’s written and directed have a combined 40 million+ views on her YouTube channel that has over 350,000 subscribers to date. Most recently, Jenna wrote and directed Hot Summer Daze, a sex-positive dramedy series presented by Erika Lust that follows Alex, Paige and Riley, three seniors graduating from a private high school in the suburbs of Chicago. After forming an unlikely bond during their freshman year and becoming inseparable, they now face their greatest challenges yet - a leaked video scandal, identity crisis, sexual exploration, and the complex bond of female friendship - all while their impending separation looms. The series has over 3 million views to date on its first eight episode season and was nominated for Best Drama Series at Sydney WebFest, Best LGBT Series at London Short Series Festival, and Kali Skatchke who plays Paige was nominated for Best Drama Actress for Hot Summer Daze at Rio WebFest. Jenna is currently developing independent projects and brand integrations for release on YouTube and for festival circuits. She also has a series pilot in development and is writing her first feature film. In the work she directs, her style is naturalistic and personal. She focuses on stories about human connection, belonging, and growing up as well as stories based in the LGBT community. Her films aren’t an “escape”, they are an emotional journey. Jenna’s experience as an actress allows her to connect with actors on a much deeper level as a director. When she’s not on set, Jenna enjoys traveling, hiking, immersing herself in films, cooking up vegan dishes and doing yoga.
