Jacopo Spano', Directing
Lavagna - Genoa - Liguria - Italy |
Jacopo Spanò, born on 20/12/2006 and residing in Chiavari in the province of Genoa. The second of six children, he attended the art school Emanuele Luzzati and according to him "my existence is entirely based on my infinite love for the seventh art, as Caligari, as Truffaut. Even if I’m not as big as them". He decided to make cinema 7 years ago, but "already when I was eight years old I created small animated short films, I liked to tell stories to distract me from everyday problems, then I realized that in addition to making them I could also watch them, at least I could have the same effect that a movie could give me but without ending in my banalities". The cinema of Jacopo is based on pretentious works that, however, through different experiments of film and screenplay creates and tells stories of pure entertainment without forgetting to mention the great cinema of the past taking as main references the cinema of Antonioni, Truffaut, Godard, Caligari, Melville, Bunuel and Wong Kar Wai. In 2021 he tried to found the 06GENERAZIONE movement, without making it persist, with which he produced "Nowhere Man". In 2022 he founded GCC (Green Cinema Collective), a Ligurian collective still in business. In 2023 to produce The Man Who Photographed the Most Beautiful Woman in the World helps in the founding of Dziga Vertov’s. Collective that acts as a network of contact and assistance between different and young authors from all over Italy. Now Jacopo is working on his next film "The most hated man in the world".
